Intelligent Bid Technologies, Inc. (IBT) provides hosted access to a superior system called "Last Look" ^TM which allows a buyer to hold a reverse auction between two or more suppliers.
IBT already had a sound business model and had promoted the vision of the company and technology, but was ready to have a prototype system developed. HeathNet Consulting (HNC) was able to accomplish this task, working very closely with the business partners of IBT. After many preliminary meetings understanding the task at hand, HNC contracted a developer with vast experience with mathematics and application programming. After a thorough cost analysis, a host was selected for IBT and the site was built using a PHP/mySQL solution.
The initial prototype was deployed, along with a full administrative content management solution, allowing the IBT partners to completely maintain the site using a web interface. This eliminated recurring costs for IBT and made the solution more sound and secure. IBT is now successfully using the prototype site in production.
